The NAACP Detroit Youth Council is where the next generation of leaders and freedom fighters are made. Home to the largest youth unit in the Midwest, the award winning NAACP Detroit Youth Council continuously provides opportunities for young people to get involved in the fight for social justice advocacy. The NAACP Detroit Youth Council is for youth aged 12-18. The purpose of the NAACP Detroit Youth Council is to provide:

  • Leadership and Activism Training

  • Proactive Political and Community Activism 

  • Public Awareness and the Necessity of Youth Involvement
