Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 8220 Second Avenue - Detroit, MI 48202 (On The Corner Of Seward, 5 Blocks North Of West Grand Blvd.).
Q: Who is the Branch President?
A: The Detroit Branch NAACP President is Rev. Wendell Anthony, celebrating
16 years of dedicated service.
Q: How do I file a complaint?
A: WEvery 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of the month representatives form the Michigan Department of Civil
Rights (MDCR) are in our office from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to speak with
you directly and go over your complaint with you. Complaint forms can also
be printed from the web site and
mailed in to our office, and will be read by a staff person from the NAACP.
You will receive a written response from our office within 3-4 weeks.
Q: Can the Detroit Branch NAACP provide lawyer assistance for
me?
A: The Detroit Branch NAACP does not have lawyers on staff nor do we refer
lawyers. For legal consultation you may wish to contact one of the following
firms: Lawyer Referral Service (313) 961-3545 or Michigan State Bar Association.
(800) 968-0738. You may also come to our office and receive a free legal consultation during our "Ask The Lawyer" program every 3rd Thursday from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

A: Annual memberships expire 1 year after enrollment. To check your individual

Q: When is the Annual Fight For Fredom Fund Dinner?
A: The 2008 53rd Annual
Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner will be held on April 27, 2008 at 5:00PM
at the Cobo Conference Center.
